Al-Azhar university Being the oldest university that contributed to the enrichment of human intellect, improvement of its sciences and knowledge and spreading of principles of tolerance of Islamic law (Sharria), Al-Azhar current mission is not only limited to pioneering religious aspects but to graduate scholars who master both religious and modern sciences, participate in life activities, and strengthen peace, love, and compassion.
For that purpose, NAQAAE feels its great responsibility in supporting of such well established institutions to achieve its humanitarian mission through continuous efforts for more advancement by applying quality standards.
NAQAAE has a faith in the graduate of AL-Azhar who is capable of feeling the spirit of the world and grasping its concepts for the purpose of achieving its mission, spreading of the true Islamic call and enabling Al-Azhar in its pioneering role of promoting Islamic culture worldwide.
Al-Azhar university is considered to be one of the largest educational institutions in Egypt and the Arabic world and maybe in the whole world considering the number of its faculties and students (64 faculties and 420,000 students). Al-Azhar University is distinguished by providing educational service to a large number of students (420,000 students) with the highest number of foreign students in Egyptian universities (20,000 students) from all over the world. The 64 faculties are distributed among five branches and the different specialties are spread in 16 governorates where they have effective role in dissemination of religious culture and life-related sciences.
The faculties of Al-Azhar University including religious faculties concerned with teaching Islamic Law and Arabic Language. This in addition to general thematic areas such as: (medicine, engineering, commerce and dentistry … etc).
Now and after more than thousand years from the establishment of Al-Azhar, Al- Azhar University is providing educational services to both Egyptian and foreign students with the help of 10,000 teaching staff and scientists in many applied scientific and religious specialties.
